Die Rosenheim-Cops

A closer look at the story

Die Rosenheim-Cops is a German crime comedy series set in and around Rosenheim, a small and charming town in Upper Bavaria. The show follows the work of a team of inspectors who investigate murders committed in the area. Episode after episode, the inspectors tackle a fresh murder, following the clues, questioning suspects and trying to uncover the truth. Policing in Rosenheim, however, is not as tense as in the big cities. Even in the middle of demanding investigations, the inspectors find time to savour the region's pastoral scenery, visit luxurious villas in the Alpine foothills and tuck into hearty Bavarian dishes washed down with beer. Characters such as Michael "Michi" Mohr, Marie Hofer, Miriam Stockl and Jo Caspar are familiar faces on the show. On ZDF since 2002, the series features actors including Max Müller, Karin Thaler, Marisa Burger and Christian Schaeffer.
