Detective Conan

A closer look at the story

Shinichi Kudo's father is a celebrated mystery novelist, yet Shinichi's own fame does not stay in his father's shadow. While still a student, he has made a name for himself by helping the local police on complex cases, becoming known as a young detective in his own right. Shinichi's greatest weapons are his sharp wit and extraordinary powers of deduction. Even in the toughest criminal cases the police struggle to crack, he pieces together the details, follows the clues and manages to bring the truth to light. In every episode, a new mystery, a new murder or a new puzzling incident tests his detective skills. Characters such as Ran Mouri and Kogoro Mouri also play important roles in this long-running adventure. Launched on YTV in 1996 and still continuing, this mystery anime features Minami Takayama as the voice of Conan Edogawa and Kappei Yamaguchi as Shinichi Kudo.
