Death in Paradise

A closer look at the story

Death in Paradise is a crime series set on Saint Marie, a fictional island in the Caribbean. The murders committed there are astonishing puzzles that are fiendishly hard to crack. The task of solving them falls to a British detective who is gifted but has more than a few quirks of his own. He works alongside the island's local police team, whose resourceful members help him unravel complex cases. In each episode, a killing that seems impossible at first is solved as the clues are patiently pieced together. Created by Robert Thorogood and airing on BBC One since 2011, the show's cast includes Don Warrington, Danny John-Jules, Tobi Bakare, Joséphine Jobert and Élisabeth Bourgine.
