Snatch

A closer look at the story

Turkish, who runs illegal boxing bouts in the criminal underworld, lands himself in serious trouble when he agrees to a fixed fight with the notorious and ruthless crime boss Brick Top. At the same time a priceless diamond has been stolen, and the list of those chasing it keeps growing: crooked boxing promoters, violent bookmakers, a Russian gangster, hopeless amateur robbers and jewellers. As the two separate stories collide in unexpected ways, the result is chaos that is no fun for the characters but hugely entertaining for the audience. Written and directed by Guy Ritchie, the 103-minute 2000 film stars Jason Statham, Brad Pitt, Stephen Graham and Dennis Farina in a fast-paced crime comedy.
