Kraven the Hunter
Kraven the Hunter: The making of the world's most feared hunter
A closer look at the story
Kraven the Hunter is a different kind of origin story, exploring how and why one of the Marvel universe's most iconic villains came into being. It takes place long before Kraven's notorious feud with Spider-Man. What shapes the life of Sergei "Kraven" Kravinoff is his complicated, painful relationship with his father, Nikolai, a ruthless gangster. Growing up in his father's shadow, Kraven eventually makes choices that set him on a road of revenge with brutal consequences. That journey will turn him into not only the world's greatest hunter but also a name that strikes fear into people. His brother Dmitri and the mysterious Calypso also play key parts in the story. Directed by J.C. Chandor, this 127-minute 2024 action film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven, with Ariana DeBose and Fred Hechinger also in the cast.
