Tad and The Magic Lamp

A closer look at the story

Tad's life has changed since the arrival of his fearless little daughter, Oli. Tad has become an extremely overprotective father. This affects the gang's lovable Mummy, too, who feels pushed aside by all the attention Oli receives. One day, the team discovers a magic lamp at Buckingham Palace, and with it an ancient spell is set loose. Using the lamp, Mummy wishes to travel back in time to the legendary city of Paititi in Peru. Tad, his girlfriend Sara and the rest of the gang, Jeff and Belzoni among them, have to follow Mummy into the past to stop him from changing history. Their madcap journey takes them from Peru to Greece, across the Atlantic Ocean and deep into the Middle East, all the way to the cave of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. Directed by Enrique Gato and written by Josep Gatell and Manuel Burque, this 94-minute 2026 Spanish animated comedy features Óscar Barberán as the voice of Tad and Michelle Jenner as Sara.
