Monsters, Inc.

A closer look at the story

In Monstropolis, the city of monsters, power comes from the screams of human children, and nobody harvests them better than the lovable Sulley, a scarer at the Monsters, Inc. factory, and his non-stop talking partner Mike Wazowski. Yet the monsters fear children every bit as much as they frighten them, convinced that touching a human child would be a catastrophe. So when a little girl called Boo stumbles into the monster world, it is the monsters who panic. Sulley and Mike have to keep Boo hidden from everyone and find a way to return her home. Directed by Pete Docter and written by Andrew Stanton and Daniel Gerson, the 92-minute 2001 animated film, voiced by John Goodman, Billy Crystal and Steve Buscemi, is a warm and funny adventure.
