Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning

A closer look at the story

Ethan Hunt and his team pick up the fight right where Dead Reckoning left off. Their target is the chilling artificial intelligence they call the Entity, a program that has worked its way into intelligence networks all over the world and could bring about the end of everything if it fell into the wrong hands. They are not the only hunters, though: governments around the globe and a shadowy figure out of Hunt's own history are also on the team's tail. Backed by new allies and in possession of the tools to switch the Entity off for good, Hunt races the clock to keep the world from being changed beyond recognition. This time he must not only save the world but also settle the scores of his past. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, this 170-minute 2025 action thriller sees Tom Cruise joined by Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg.
