Sing
Sing: A singing contest to save a theatre
A closer look at the story
In a world like ours but populated entirely by animals, Buster Moon is a dapper koala who owns a theatre that once enjoyed glorious days but has now fallen on hard times. A bit of a rogue but endlessly optimistic, Buster loves his theatre more than anything and will do whatever it takes to save it. With his life's passion about to slip away, he tries one last gamble with the help of his best friend: staging the greatest singing competition the world has ever seen. Written and directed by Garth Jennings, this 108-minute 2016 animation, featuring the voices of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson and Seth MacFarlane, is a musical family comedy.
