Kick-Ass: A powerless teenager decides to become a superhero

KINONOOK / EN

A closer look at the story

Kick-Ass follows Dave Lizewski, an ordinary high-school student whom hardly anyone notices. Dave is a die-hard comic-book fan who looks up to the heroes on the page, and one day an idea takes hold of him: why shouldn't he become a superhero too? There is one big problem. He has no superpowers, no training and no real reason to do any of this, and nothing has happened that actually calls for his help. Even so, his mind is made up, and he sets out to become just like the heroes in the stories he reads. Matthew Vaughn directed this 118-minute action crime film from 2010, a British-American production he wrote with Jane Goldman. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Dave, Chloë Grace Moretz plays Hit Girl, Nicolas Cage plays Big Daddy and Mark Strong plays Frank D'Amico, with Lyndsy Fonseca also in the cast.
