Two and a Half Men

A closer look at the story

Charlie Harper is a womanising bachelor who writes advertising jingles and enjoys the good life in his beach house in Malibu. He is perfectly content living alone and is not about to sacrifice a single bit of his freewheeling lifestyle. One day, however, everything changes: his uptight, fussy brother Alan, kicked out by his wife Judith, moves into Charlie's house with his ten-year-old son, Jake. Sharing a roof with his brother and nephew does not appeal to Charlie in the slightest at first, but over time he gets so used to this new family set-up that he does everything he can to keep it. Their meddling mother Evelyn and Rose, the neighbour obsessed with Charlie, add their own share of chaos to this odd household. Chuck Lorre and Lee Aronsohn's sitcom aired on CBS from 2003, totalling 12 seasons and 262 episodes, with Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones in the leading roles.
