The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse

A closer look at the story

This short animated film tells of a lonely boy's journey to find home and of the unlikely friendships he forms along the way. As he searches for his path, the boy meets a mole, then a fox and a horse who join this little company. Utterly unalike, the four friends travel together and face both the challenges of the world around them and their own inner fears. Directed by Charlie Mackesy and Peter Baynton and written by Jon Croker, this 35-minute 2022 animated short features the voices of Jude Coward Nicoll, Tom Hollander, Idris Elba and Gabriel Byrne.
