Spider-Man 3

A closer look at the story

Peter Parker finally seems to have struck a balance between his love for Mary Jane and his duties as a superhero. But a storm is brewing. A mysterious organism from space turns Spider-Man's suit black and amplifies his powers, and the change alters Peter too, making him arrogant and careless of the people he loves. As threats multiply, from the shape-shifting Sandman to his rival Eddie Brock and Harry Osborn in a new guise, Peter's greatest battle is the one raging inside himself. Directed by Sam Raimi and written by Sam and Ivan Raimi with Alvin Sargent, the 139-minute 2007 film adds Thomas Haden Church as Sandman and Topher Grace as Eddie Brock to the returning cast.
