Black Panther
Black Panther: The trial that comes with Wakanda's throne
A closer look at the story
After the death of his father, the young T'Challa returns to Wakanda, an African nation hidden from the world and far ahead of everyone else in technology, to assume the throne. The crown proves heavy, though: rivals both within the country and beyond its borders challenge his rule. Taking on the role of Black Panther with powers reserved for Wakanda's kings, T'Challa works with his former love Nakia, his mother, his sister, the elite guard known as the Dora Milaje and an American agent to keep his homeland from being pulled into a world war. Directed by Ryan Coogler, who wrote it with Joe Robert Cole, the 135-minute 2018 film stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira in a superhero adventure.
