Everything Everywhere All at Once

A closer look at the story

Evelyn Wang emigrated from China to America with her husband Waymond years ago to build a new life, and she is no longer young. Drowning in the ordinary troubles of her everyday life, she is suddenly pulled into a completely mad adventure. What she learns is dizzying: there are countless parallel universes, and in each of them is a different life Evelyn might have led. She alone can save everything that matters to her, even all of the universes, and to do it she must learn to connect with these alternative lives. Written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the 140-minute 2022 film stars Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Stephanie Hsu and Jamie Lee Curtis, and is a wild and moving science-fiction adventure.
