A closer look at the story

Having made it through high school a second time, on an undercover assignment, police officers Schmidt and Jenko face an even bigger change: they are to infiltrate a local college disguised as students. Campus life, however, pulls the pair in different directions. Jenko bonds with a like-minded player on the football squad, while Schmidt ends up among the bohemian art students, and for the first time their partnership is seriously shaken. Now they have not only to crack the case but also to decide whether they can manage a grown-up relationship. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the 112-minute 2014 film reunites Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum in a self-mocking action comedy.
