Ocean's Eight

A closer look at the story

Debbie Ocean, Danny Ocean's sister, walks free after five years in prison, but going straight is the last thing on her mind. The job she has in mind is huge: stealing a priceless Cartier necklace that the famous actress Daphne Kluger will be wearing at New York's glamorous annual Met Gala. For this heist of the century, she and Lou assemble a team of women who are each experts in their own field: Tammy, Amita, Nine Ball, Constance and Rose Weil. Directed by Gary Ross, who wrote it with Olivia Milch, the 111-minute 2018 film stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway and Sarah Paulson in a stylish heist comedy.
