Five Nights at Freddy's 2

A closer look at the story

Twelve months on from the supernatural ordeal at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, life has moved on. The events of that night have become a local legend, passed from mouth to mouth, steadily exaggerated and even a little fun. The legend grows so popular that the town holds a festival for the first time, called "Fazfest". The truth, however, is not as harmless as most people believe. Unaware of what is being kept from her, young Abby slips out of the house in search of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy. This seemingly innocent escape sets off a terrifying chain of events. As dark secrets about the true origins of Freddy's come to light, a horror that has stayed hidden for decades is let loose. Emma Tammi returns to direct from Scott Cawthon's script, with Matthew Lillard joining returning cast members Josh Hutcherson and Piper Rubio in this 104-minute 2025 sequel.
