Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Who Framed Roger Rabbit: A cartoon star suspected of murder

KINONOOK / EN

A closer look at the story

In a world where cartoon characters live side by side with humans, toon star Roger Rabbit has a big worry: he suspects that his glamorous wife Jessica is seeing someone else. Private eye Eddie Valiant is brought in by the studio to watch her, and the man he ends up watching is Marvin Acme, the businessman who owns Toontown. When Acme is found dead one morning, every eye turns to Roger; the cartoon star is now the prime suspect in a murder and the target of the sinister Judge Doom, who is determined to deliver justice his own way. Directed by Robert Zemeckis and adapted by Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman from Gary K. Wolf's novel, the 104-minute 1988 film pairs Bob Hoskins and Christopher Lloyd with animated characters in a mystery comedy.
