A closer look at the story
Rita's husband, Ariel, goes abroad to work, and Rita is left alone at home. Over time, the distance between them puts a heavy strain on their marriage. Driven by loneliness and longing, Rita looks for comfort and fulfilment with someone else. Ariel, far away, takes the same path, trying to ease his own loneliness with other people. Eventually Ariel returns home. The couple choose to behave as though nothing has happened and attempt to pick up their old life where they left off. Will this silent agreement be enough to stop their marriage from falling apart? Directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng, this 113-minute 2024 Filipino drama stars Christine Bermas as Rita and VR Relosa as Ariel, with Gold Aceron also in the cast.
