A closer look at the story

Former policeman Cole Reed witnesses the murder of his billionaire boss, Tibu. The real nightmare begins, though, when the blame for the killing is pinned on him. Realising he has been set up and suddenly a wanted fugitive, Cole knows the only way to clear his name and find the true killers is to act on his own. The trail he follows leads him to a cargo ship. Once aboard, Cole uncovers a ring running illegal operations. But that is only the tip of the iceberg; the more he investigates, the more he realises that a much larger, international conspiracy lies behind Tibu's death. In the middle of the sea, on a ship with nowhere to run, Cole must fight alone both to avenge his boss and to save his own life. Jean-François Richet directs this 96-minute 2026 high-seas thriller, with Jason Statham leading a cast that includes Annabelle Wallis and Roland Møller.
