The Dark Tower
The Dark Tower: The tower that holds the universes together
A closer look at the story
Young Jake Chambers keeps seeing glimpses of another, parallel world. The visions lead him to the existence of the legendary Dark Tower, which holds every universe together. The last person who can protect it is Roland Deschain, a disillusioned gunslinger trapped in an endless war with Walter O'Dim, known as the Man in Black. Once their paths cross, Jake and Roland must fight together to stop the Dark Tower from being destroyed. Adapted from Stephen King's novels and directed by Nikolaj Arcel, the 95-minute 2017 film stars Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey and Tom Taylor in a fantasy action film.
