X: A shoot on a Texas farm turns into a nightmare
A closer look at the story
The year is 1979. A young film crew dreaming of making it big in Hollywood sets off for an isolated farmhouse in rural Texas to shoot an adult movie. The place they have rented belongs to a reclusive elderly couple who live far from the outside world. The crew starts filming without their hosts knowing what they are up to. But when the old couple realise what is going on, the quiet countryside suddenly turns dangerous, and the young people are plunged into a desperate struggle to stay alive. Written and directed by Ti West, the 106-minute 2022 film stars Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega, Brittany Snow and Kid Cudi in a horror film.
