A closer look at the story
Gerry Lane, once an investigator for the UN, is living a peaceful life with his wife and their two daughters. One morning, stuck in traffic, they witness a mysterious epidemic spreading at terrifying speed and turning people into mindless, savage zombies. Having narrowly escaped the chaos and got his family to safety, Gerry is talked into a dangerous assignment to investigate where the disease came from. The mission takes him all over the world, and he must find answers before civilisation collapses. Adapted from Max Brooks's novel and directed by Marc Forster, this 2013 production of 116 minutes stars Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos and Daniella Kertesz in a tense disaster action film.
