21 Jump Street: Two cops go back to high school to bust a drug ring

KINONOOK / EN

A closer look at the story

21 Jump Street follows Schmidt and Jenko, who became friends somewhat against their will at the police academy. Neither is exactly a star among the city's patrol officers, but joining the secret Jump Street unit gives them a chance to turn that around. Their assignment is to dismantle a dangerous drug ring, and to do it they will rely on their youthful looks to slip into a high school disguised as students. Their weapons and badges are traded for school bags. Things do not unfold the way they expect, however. High school has changed enormously since their own school days not so long ago, and today's teenagers are nothing like the ones they remember. On top of that, both of them are forced to relive the adolescent fears and insecurities they thought were long behind them. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller directed this 109-minute action comedy from 2012, written by Michael Bacall. Jonah Hill plays Schmidt and Channing Tatum plays Jenko, with Brie Larson, Dave Franco and Rob Riggle also in the cast.
