Minions

A closer look at the story

Minions tells the story of small yellow creatures who, since prehistoric times, have lived for one purpose: finding the most evil master they can serve. They work for all kinds of bosses, from dinosaurs to Dracula, a pharaoh and Napoleon, yet every one of them ends up disappearing somehow. With nobody left to serve, they retreat to Antarctica and live on their own. In the end three adventurous Minions, Kevin, Stuart and Bob, set out for America in search of a new master. There they come across Scarlet Overkill, a super-villain without limits. Together with her inventor husband Herb, Scarlet is plotting to take over the world, and she signs the three Minions up to her cause. At last the Minions have a place in the scheme of a truly villainous boss. Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda directed this 91-minute animated comedy from 2015, written by Brian Lynch. Sandra Bullock voices Scarlet Overkill and Jon Hamm voices Herb, with Michael Keaton, Allison Janney and Steve Coogan also lending their voices.
