Ice Age

A closer look at the story

The ice age is setting in across a world that is slowly freezing over. In this bleak landscape, three animals who could hardly be more different, Manny, a woolly mammoth who keeps to himself, Sid, a sloth who never stops talking, and Diego, a sabre-toothed tiger, unexpectedly become travelling companions. They share a single goal: to return a human baby they have found to his father. Over a long and difficult journey, this unlikely trio must learn to cope with the dangers of nature and with one another. Directed by Chris Wedge, the 81-minute 2002 animated film, voiced by Ray Romano, John Leguizamo and Denis Leary, is a comic ice-age adventure.
