Narnia: The Magician's Nephew

A closer look at the story

Narnia: The Magician's Nephew adapts the novel in C. S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia that tells how that world came into being. Greta Gerwig is both director and writer. In the story, two children find passages to other worlds in a wood dotted with pools. One pool leads them to a lifeless city under a fading sun, where they rouse a queen who wiped out her own people and, without meaning to, bring her back to London. The cast includes David McKenna as Digory, Beatrice Campbell as Polly and Emma Mackey as Jadis, with Carey Mulligan and Ciarán Hinds. Its first regional showings point to February 2027.
