The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

A closer look at the story

Sent away from home because of the war, the four Pevensie siblings go to stay with a professor. During a game of hide-and-seek, Lucy, the youngest, steps through an old wardrobe into a completely different world: snow-covered Narnia. This land of talking animals and strange creatures lies under the cold rule of Jadis, the White Witch. Before long all four children have passed through the wardrobe and learn that freeing Narnia is their destiny, a task that will require them to find the mysterious lion, Aslan. Adapted from C. S. Lewis's novel and directed by Andrew Adamson, the 143-minute 2005 film stars Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, William Moseley, Anna Popplewell and Tilda Swinton in a family fantasy.
