Shrek 2

Shrek 2: A royal family visit spirals out of control

KINONOOK / EN

A closer look at the story

Shrek 2 begins just after Shrek and Fiona return from their honeymoon, when a letter arrives from Fiona's parents, the king and queen, inviting the newlyweds to the kingdom of Far Far Away. Taking their loyal friend Donkey along, the couple set off. In Far Far Away the townsfolk have packed the streets to celebrate the princess's homecoming, and the royal couple can hardly wait to meet the son-in-law they have never seen. Neither of them, however, is ready for what he looks like, and their beloved daughter has changed a great deal as well. The unexpected marriage upsets every plan the king had made for the future. Determined to undo it, he calls on the potion-making Fairy Godmother, the vain Prince Charming and the notorious ogre-hunter Puss in Boots, and Shrek has to stand up to all of them to keep his happy ending. Andrew Adamson, Kelly Asbury and Conrad Vernon directed this 92-minute animated comedy from 2004. Mike Myers voices Shrek, Eddie Murphy voices Donkey and Cameron Diaz voices Fiona, with Julie Andrews as Queen Lillian and Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots.
