Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain
Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!: The comic schemes of two neighbouring couples
Original title: भाभीजी घर पर हैं!
A closer look at the story
Popular Hindi sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! began on &TV in 2015 and is also available on ZEE5. It centres on two couples living next door to each other, the Tiwari and Mishra households. Manmohan Tiwari and Vibhuti Narayan Mishra, the two husbands, are unhappy in their own marriages and each secretly has a soft spot for the other's wife. Manmohan is a successful businessman in the underwear trade, married to Angoori, a simple, good-natured housewife. Vibhuti is an out-of-work former insurance agent; his wife, Anita, is a self-assured, modern woman who teaches grooming classes. The two men's never-ending plots to win over each other's wives lead to comic clashes and chaos, mostly inside their homes. Its roots lie in Shrimaan Shrimati, a sitcom from the 1990s. Created by Binaiferr S. Kohli and Sanjay R. Kohli, the show features actors including Aasif Sheikh, Rohitashv Gour, Saumya Tandon, Shilpa Shinde and Shubhangi Atre Poorey.
