Alicia Florrick is the wife of Peter Florrick, a prominent politician, and for a long time she has devoted herself to her family. When her husband's sex and political corruption scandal explodes in full public view and Peter goes to prison, Alicia's world collapses overnight. Determined to stand tall, Alicia shoulders every responsibility for her family and goes back to work. Although she was once top of her class, she had given up her legal career for her home and children; now, years later, she returns to it. Joining the prestigious Chicago law firm of her former classmate Will Gardner, Alicia must rebuild her career from scratch. She is also determined to remain a good mother. Julianna Margulies plays Alicia in this legal drama from creators Robert King and Michelle King, which premiered on CBS in 2009 and lasted seven seasons, with 156 episodes in total.
