A closer look at the story
Wanda Maximoff and Vision, two beings with extraordinary powers, decide to leave a hard and exhausting past behind them and live an ordinary life. The quiet suburb where they settle, keeping their abilities hidden, promises an idealised version of family life. Yet small oddities begin to pile up in this seemingly perfect world, and the couple come to suspect that nothing is quite what it appears. Created by Jac Schaeffer and released on Disney+ in 2021 as a nine-episode series, it stars Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany and Kathryn Hahn in an unusual super-hero story that tucks its mystery inside a domestic one.
