Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

A closer look at the story

Several generations have passed since the days when Caesar ruled. Apes are now the dominant species on Earth and live together in harmony, while humans have been forced to live in the shadows, with nothing left of their former power. That peace is put at risk, however, when a cruel ape leader starts building an empire of his own. A young ape sets out on a gruelling and perilous journey that will change his life from the ground up. What he encounters along the way makes him question everything he was ever taught about the past. And the choices he makes will decide the future of apes and humans alike. Directed by Wes Ball and written by Josh Friedman, the 145-minute 2024 film stars Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand and William H. Macy in a science-fiction adventure.
