V/H/S/Mixtape: found-footage horror set to a cursed soundtrack
A closer look at the story
V/H/S/Mixtape brings the found-footage tradition together with music in a horror anthology. The film offers a collection made of cursed music videos, unsettling performances and blood-stained recordings, with an invitation that is short and blunt: press play and hope it stops. Its segments are directed by a mix of names including David Moreau, Renee Zhan, RZA, Ernest R. Dickerson, Flying Lotus and Tobias Forge. Combining horror, music and thriller elements, the production runs 98 minutes and is a joint United States and United Arab Emirates project. Its catalogue date falls in the first week of October.
