Monsters vs Aliens

A closer look at the story

For Susan Murphy of California, her wedding day is meant to be the happiest of her life, until a meteor laden with strange matter from outer space comes crashing down on her. In an instant she grows to an enormous size, and the military springs into action. Captured, Susan is locked away in a secret government facility, given the name Ginormica and held together with a group of oddball monsters who, like her, have been shut away from the world. B.O.B., Dr. Cockroach and The Missing Link are among the members of this unusual team. But when Earth comes under threat from a powerful alien force, these outcast monsters are called on to defend the planet. Directed by Conrad Vernon, the 94-minute 2009 film features the voices of Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie and Rainn Wilson in a fun science-fiction animation.
