The Last Sunrise

A closer look at the story

Ry is a university student living with a chronic illness. One summer, she and her mother head to the Spanish island of Mallorca to get away from it all. On the island, Ry experiences something she never expected: she falls in love with Julián, who lives there. With this new romance, Ry begins to learn how to live in the moment. As the summer goes on, however, her illness begins to get worse. On top of that, family secrets that have been kept hidden for a long time come to the surface one after another. Ry is faced with the threat of losing everything she has found before the summer is over. Adapted from Anna Todd's novel, directed by Carlson Young and written for the screen by Anna Klassen, this 107-minute 2026 romantic drama stars Maia Reficco, Fernando Lindez and Eva Longoria.
