You Drive Me Crazy

A closer look at the story

Alisa moves into a roomy apartment in St. Petersburg. As she settles into her new home, she notices something strange: the mirror in the flat has started to malfunction. This is no ordinary fault, though; the mirror is showing Alisa a parallel reality of the very same apartment. What is more, the person living there in that other world is not Alisa but Ivan, a young man who loves to party. From either side of the mirror, the two begin to witness each other's lives. What starts out as weird and baffling gradually becomes an unexpected closeness between them. The obstacle separating them, however, is not ordinary distance but two separate realities. Will Alisa and Ivan be able to recognise true love? And can they bring their worlds together, meet in real life and simply touch each other? Directed by Darya Lebedeva, who wrote the screenplay with Olesya Likhacheva and Anastasia Sedova, this 99-minute 2025 Russian romantic comedy stars Mila Ershova as Alisa and Yuri Nasonov as Ivan.
