A closer look at the story
A cybersecurity expert comes across hidden data about the existence of aliens. When he decides to share what he has seen with the world rather than keep it to himself, his life changes completely: he is now the target of a powerful, enormous corporation and has no choice but to run. Around the same time, a meteorologist is witnessing strange, inexplicable phenomena. When their paths cross, the two join forces. Their aim is to prove that there is life beyond human understanding, but those who want the truth to stay buried are ready to do anything to stop them. Steven Spielberg directs this 146-minute 2026 science-fiction thriller from a David Koepp screenplay, bringing together Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson and Colman Domingo.
