The Emperor's New Groove

A closer look at the story

Long ago, in a faraway land, the vain young Emperor Kuzco believes the whole world revolves around him. His power-hungry adviser Yzma, however, hatches a plan to get rid of him, and when it goes wrong Kuzco finds himself transformed into a llama. Stranded alone in the middle of the jungle, the bewildered llama's only hope is the kind-hearted villager Pacha. To reclaim his throne, Kuzco has to get back before Yzma and her bumbling henchman Kronk reach the palace. A journey full of danger and laughs awaits this odd pair. Directed by Mark Dindal, the 78-minute 2000 animated film, voiced by David Spade, John Goodman, Eartha Kitt and Patrick Warburton, is a madcap comedy.
