The Croods: A New Age

A closer look at the story

Still searching for a safer place to live, the prehistoric Crood family one day comes upon a paradise surrounded by high walls. It has everything they could ever need. But this paradise already has owners: the Betterman family, who stand a few rungs higher up the evolutionary ladder. With their inventions, irrigated fields and fresh produce, the Bettermans live in a world very different from the one the Croods are used to. What starts out between the two families as a friendly rivalry gradually turns into growing tension. Just as things are reaching boiling point, a new threat sweeps both clans into an epic adventure, and to survive they will have to embrace their differences and draw strength from one another. Directed by Joel Crawford, the 95-minute 2020 film is a family animation voiced by Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone and Nicolas Cage.
