A closer look at the story

A group of young friends discover how to call up spirits using an embalmed, cursed hand that has come into their possession. At first it looks like a creepy but fun game, and everyone in the group wants to live through the dizzying experience again and again. Soon the new thrill turns into an irresistible addiction. But when one of them crosses the line and goes too far, terrifying supernatural forces break loose beyond anyone's control, and the game becomes a nightmare. Young people like Mia, Jade and Riley may have to pay the price.
