Beverly Hills, 90210

A closer look at the story

Beverly Hills, 90210 centres on a circle of teens who call home the affluent, celebrity-filled community of Beverly Hills, California. The story begins with their years at West Beverly Hills High, a fictional school, and, once they graduate, continues with their lives at the equally fictional California University. Growing up surrounded by luxury homes, expensive cars and glittering parties, these young people actually wrestle with the same problems as anyone their age: friendships, first loves, break-ups, family tensions and worries about the future. Characters such as Brandon Walsh, Kelly Taylor, Steve Sanders, David Silver and Donna Martin are tested both by one another and by their own lives on this journey from high school to adulthood. Created by Darren Star and airing on FOX from 1990 for ten seasons and 284 episodes, this teen drama stars Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling.
