Fringe

A closer look at the story

To shed light on inexplicable events happening all over the world, the FBI sets up a special Boston-based team: Fringe. At its centre is Special Agent Olivia Dunham. Working alongside her are Walter Bishop, a brilliant but eccentric scientist who once spent time in a psychiatric institution, and Walter's calculating son Peter, who is far from keen on the job. The trio set out to unravel a deadly mystery tied to a string of unbelievable occurrences. The more they investigate, however, the more they realise that these are not isolated oddities but may be part of a far bigger and more unsettling design, one that erases the boundary between science fiction and technology. Created by J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and running on FOX from 2008 for five seasons and 100 episodes, the series stars Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson and John Noble.
