The Expanse

A closer look at the story

Two hundred years from now, humanity has spread out across the solar system. In this vast setting, the daughter of an extremely wealthy family disappears without a trace. Miller, a weary, seasoned detective who takes on the case, crosses paths with a spaceship captain who plays by his own rules while following the young woman's trail. The pursuit, which stretches from one end of the solar system to the other, leads both men to a truth neither expected: the missing woman's story is just one piece of a plot bigger than anything humankind has ever faced. Created by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, the series aired first on Syfy and then on Prime Video, running from 2015 for six seasons and 62 episodes; this science-fiction thriller brings together Steven Strait, Dominique Tipper, Wes Chatham and Shohreh Aghdashloo.
