A closer look at the story

It is the early 1960s in New York. The city is alive with music and caught up in a period of turbulent cultural change. In coffee houses, small clubs and narrow streets, the search for a new sound is gathering pace. Into this world walks an enigmatic nineteen-year-old from Minnesota, guitar on his back and a revolutionary talent inside him, arriving in the West Village. This young man is Bob Dylan, and he will alter American music for good. Along the way he crosses paths with figures such as Pete Seeger, Joan Baez and Woody Guthrie. Written by James Mangold and Jay Cocks and directed by Mangold, the 141-minute 2024 musical biopic stars Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan, with Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro and Scoot McNairy also in the cast.
