Batman Forever
Batman Forever: Two villains and a new partner
A closer look at the story
This time the Dark Knight of Gotham has to take on two terrifying enemies at once. On one side is Harvey Dent, the horribly scarred former district attorney now known as Two-Face; on the other is Edward Nygma, the Riddler, a disgruntled inventor sworn to take revenge on his former employer, Wayne Enterprises. The Riddler's invention is a dangerous device that can drain the minds of Gotham's citizens. Meanwhile Bruce Wayne, still wrestling with painful memories of his parents' murder, falls for psychologist Dr. Chase Meridian. And in this tough fight against the villains he gains a new partner: Robin. Directed by Joel Schumacher, the 121-minute 1995 film stars Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones, Jim Carrey, Nicole Kidman and Chris O'Donnell in a colourful superhero film.
