Forgotten Island
Forgotten Island: When the price of going home is a friendship
A closer look at the story
Jo and Raissa, best friends who have just graduated from high school and are about to go their separate ways, are celebrating their last night together. Out of nowhere, a mysterious portal sweeps them away to Nakali, an island alive with magical creatures from the Filipino legends they grew up with. The island is dazzling and full of surprises, but getting home comes at a cost: every memory of their friendship. The two friends must race against time to find a way home that does not cost them their memories. Directed by Januel Mercado and Joel Crawford and released in September 2026, the 109-minute animation features the voices of H.E.R., Liza Soberano and Dave Franco in a playful fantasy adventure about friendship.
