Halloween: The killer who comes back to Haddonfield
A closer look at the story
On Halloween night in 1963, young Michael Myers murders his sister and spends the following years in a mental hospital. Fifteen years later, with Halloween approaching once more, Michael escapes and returns to his small home town of Haddonfield, Illinois. His purpose is to kill again. Those in town looking forward to an ordinary holiday night have no idea of the danger that is coming. Written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill and directed by Carpenter, the 91-minute 1978 film, with Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis, is a genre-defining horror classic.
