The Furious

A closer look at the story

The daughter of Wang Wei, a former special forces soldier, is abducted by a ruthless criminal network. Realising that the police he turns to for help are corrupt and will do nothing, Wang decides to find her himself. His only ally in this gruelling search is Navin, a dogged journalist whose wife has mysteriously disappeared. Bound together by a similar loss, the two men follow the trail into the dangerous world of northern Myanmar. There they come up against scam gangs, organ traffickers and the ruthless criminals behind the kidnapping. Driven by fury and a thirst for vengeance, the pair push towards a final showdown with the crime boss to rescue those dear to them. In this breathless martial arts action film, every step means a new fight. Directed by Kenji Tanigaki, this 113-minute 2026 Hong Kong-Chinese-American co-production stars Xie Miao, Joe Taslim, Yayan Ruhian and JeeJa Yanin.
